不知不觉的行善
在这个比喻中，我们看到一幅历史终结时的图画。耶稣这位王再来时，万国万民都聚集在祂那里听祂说话。然后祂就像牧人区分绵羊和山羊一样，把人们一个一个地区分开来。
当然，我们会想：“我是绵羊还是山羊呢？”
耶稣对绵羊说：“你们这蒙我父赐福的，可来承受那创世以来为你们所预备的国。”
请注意，那些绵羊对自己所得巨大奖赏的原因感到很震惊。给饥饿的人吃，给口渴的人喝，留客旅住宿，给赤身露体的人穿衣服，看顾生病的，看望监里的，他们似乎并没意识到，当自己做这些事时，就活出了耶稣国度的价值。或许，随时随地显出基督的爱变得太自然了，以至于他们没有意识到自己在做这些事。
这个比喻也显示出，耶稣不会被那些假冒伪善的人愚弄，他们只是称祂为“主”，却没有活出祂的信仰价值观。
这里提醒我们，我们若真正相信耶稣是救主，那么赐给我们这种信心的圣灵也会激励我们分享祂的爱。因着在我们里面工作的圣灵，行善几乎成了第二本能——这全靠神的恩典！
耶稣，你从天降下，为我们显明了道路。我们祈求你每天引导我们，藉着向他人显明你的爱来服事你——并依靠在我们里面圣灵的大能。阿们。
马太福音 25:31-40
31 “当人子在他荣耀里同着众天使降临的时候，要坐在他荣耀的宝座上。
32 万民都要聚集在他面前，他要把他们分别出来，好像牧羊的分别绵羊山羊一般：
33 把绵羊安置在右边，山羊在左边。
34 于是，王要向那右边的说：‘你们这蒙我父赐福的，可来承受那创世以来为你们所预备的国。
35 因为我饿了，你们给我吃；渴了，你们给我喝；我做客旅，你们留我住；
36 我赤身露体，你们给我穿；我病了，你们看顾我；我在监里，你们来看我。’
37 义人就回答说：‘主啊，我们什么时候见你饿了给你吃，渴了给你喝？
38 什么时候见你做客旅留你住，或是赤身露体给你穿？
39 又什么时候见你病了或是在监里，来看你呢？’
40 王要回答说：‘我实在告诉你们：这些事你们既做在我这弟兄中一个最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。’
The Unknowing
“The King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’” — Matthew 25:34
In this parable we see a picture of the end times. We listen as the King, Jesus himself, returns and gathers all the nations before him. Then he separates people individually as a shepherd would do with sheep and goats.
And we wonder, of course, “Am I a sheep or a goat?”
Jesus says to the sheep, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” Notice that the sheep are astounded by the reason they are given this great reward. They fed the hungry, clothed the naked, invited the stranger, comforted the sick and imprisoned, and it seems they didn’t even realize they were living out Jesus’ kingdom values as they did those things. Perhaps showing Christ’s love everywhere had become so natural that they didn’t realize they were doing it.
This parable also shows that Jesus isn’t fooled by false people who only call him “Lord” and do not live by his values.
Here we are reminded that when we truly believe in Jesus as Savior, his Spirit, who gives us that belief and faith, motivates us to share his love also. With the Spirit at work in us, doing good becomes almost second nature—and this is all by God’s grace!
Jesus, you came from heaven to earth to show us the way. Guide us each day, we pray, to serve you by showing your love to others—all by the power of your Spirit in us. Amen.
