恩典的筵席
不同年纪和不同身量的人，充满了吵吵嚷嚷的房子，令人垂涎的香气从厨房里飘出来，空气中洋溢着一片庆典的气氛；有人在讲故事和分享回忆，其中有熟识的也有新的体验。我期待与家人一起参加这些家庭分享日。（家人是任何一个到来参加家庭分享日的人）。藉着庆祝生日、结婚纪念、节日、或任何借用来相聚的名堂，人与人的关系就这样建立起来了。
基于同样的原因，我也期待在教会守圣餐，我期待分享耶稣来到衪和门徒共享晚餐的地方这个故事。我想像门徒一起在预备逾越节的筵席，他们会回想昔日的第一个逾越节，他们也会猜想，在这间耶稣为他们安排的大楼中，会有什么事情发生。
在餐桌前，当他们纪念很久以前神拯救他们脱离奴隶生涯时，大家的话题改变了。耶稣所说的与以前不同，衪提出他们将来要纪念的事，衪说，这筵席是新的约开始的表记。那时他们不明白衪的意思，但后来他们将会看到，神的国要包括各式各样的人 – 所有接受耶稣为救主的人。这个筵席是为每一个人而设的 -- 这个事实真是值得我们纪念的啊！
亲爱的神，我们忘记祢时，求祢赦免，今天求祢提醒我们祢的慈爱和恩典。耶稣的牺牲，为我们打开了来到祢桌前之路，我们感谢祢。阿们。
路加福音 22:7-20
7 除酵节，须宰逾越羊羔的那一天到了。
8 耶稣打发彼得、约翰说：“你们去为我们预备逾越节的筵席，好叫我们吃。”
9 他们问他说：“要我们在哪里预备？”
10 耶稣说：“你们进了城，必有人拿着一瓶水迎面而来，你们就跟着他，到他所进的房子里去，
11 对那家的主人说：‘夫子说：客房在哪里？我与门徒好在那里吃逾越节的筵席。’
12 他必指给你们摆设整齐的一间大楼，你们就在那里预备。”
13 他们去了，所遇见的正如耶稣所说的，他们就预备了逾越节的筵席。
14 时候到了，耶稣坐席，使徒也和他同坐。
15 耶稣对他们说：“我很愿意在受害以先和你们吃这逾越节的筵席。
16 我告诉你们，我不再吃这筵席，直到成就在神的国里。”
17 耶稣接过杯来，祝谢了，说：“你们拿这个，大家分着喝。
18 我告诉你们，从今以后，我不再喝这葡萄汁，直等神的国来到。”
19 又拿起饼来，祝谢了，就掰开，递给他们，说：“这是我的身体，为你们舍的。你们也应当如此行，为的是记念我。”
20 饭后也照样拿起杯来，说：“这杯是用我血所立的新约，是为你们流出来的。
Table Of Grace
"They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover." — Luke 22:13
The house is noisy and filled with people of all ages and sizes. Wonderful aromas drift in from the kitchen, and celebration is in the air. The atmosphere is full of stories being told and memories being shared. There is always something familiar and always something new. I look forward to these shared family gatherings. (Family is anyone who arrives and shares in the gathering). Connections are made over birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and any other excuse to get together.
For the same reasons, I also look forward to communion at church. I look forward to sharing the story of Jesus walking down the street to the place where he and his disciples would share a meal. I imagine the disciples getting ready for the Passover Feast together. They would be reflecting on the first Passover, and they would be wondering how things would go in the upper room Jesus had arranged for them.
At the table, as they remember God’s deliverance from slavery long ago, there is a change in the conversation. Jesus introduces something new, offering a remembrance for the future. He says this meal will mark the beginning of a new covenant. They don’t understand, but later they will see that the kingdom of God will include all kinds of people—all who believe in Jesus as Savior. This will be a table offering grace for all—and that’s worth remembering!
Dear God, forgive us when we forget. Remind us today of your love and grace. Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus that opens the way for us to come to your table. Amen.
