你对祂有多认真呢？
先知拿单被圣灵充满，他宣告大卫的王朝必永远坚立，大卫的儿子所罗门将会承继王位和延续大卫的国；可惜，犹大最终竟然衰落和被别国统治。
然而，为神的子民建立永远的国的，乃是大卫的后裔和神的儿子耶稣。但是，耶稣建立的是哪一样的国呢？在耶稣那个时代的犹太人领袖心目中，弥赛亚是一位地上的君王，这君王会战胜罗马人，并会使以色列国成为世界上的政治中心。他们期盼的是一位军事领袖，把罪人从以色列驱逐出去，保卫耶路撒冷不致被外族蹂躏，和消灭邪恶的国家；他们盼望有一位能够令他们强盛的地上的君王。
但是，耶稣不会驱逐罪人，反而欢迎他们；祂的传道工作，是接纳外邦人，而不是要消灭他们。
今天，我们也需要对耶稣有正确的看法。祂不单是大卫的后裔，更是神的儿子，是道成肉身的神；耶稣不单是一位智慧的教师，更是拯救我们脱离罪的救主，祂的话语能赐我们永远的生命；祂不单是我们地上的良友，更是奇妙的万王之王和万主之主。
今天，你对耶稣有多认真呢？你有没有让祂的生命和话语来塑造你的思想、价值观，和生活方式呢？
大卫的后裔、神的儿子，惟愿我们看到和承认祢是拥有永远的荣耀的神；又愿我们今天能遇见真正的耶稣！奉祢的名祷告，阿们。
撒母耳记下 7:8-17
8“现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。
9你无论往哪里去，我常与你同在，剪除你的一切仇敌。我必使你得大名，好像世上大大有名的人一样。
10我必为我民以色列选定一个地方，栽培他们，使他们住自己的地方，不再迁移；凶恶之子也不像从前扰害他们，
11并不像我命士师治理我民以色列的时候一样。我必使你安靖，不被一切仇敌扰乱，并且我－耶和华应许你，必为你建立家室。
12你寿数满足、与你列祖同睡的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位；我也必坚定他的国。
13他必为我的名建造殿宇；我必坚定他的国位，直到永远。
14我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖责打他，用人的鞭责罚他。
15但我的慈爱仍不离开他，像离开在你面前所废弃的扫罗一样。
16你的家和你的国必在我面前永远坚立。你的国位也必坚定，直到永远。’”
17 拿单就按这一切话，照这默示，告诉大卫。
The Son And Seed Of David
“Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.” — 2 Samuel 7:16
Filled with the Spirit, the prophet Nathan announced that David’s dynasty would last forever. David’s son Solomon would take the throne and continue David’s kingdom. But eventually Judah fell and was ruled by others.
It was David’s descendant Jesus, the Son of God, however, who would establish the forever kingdom for God’s people. But what kind of kingdom did Jesus establish? The Jewish leaders in Jesus’ day pictured the Messiah as an earthly king who would defeat the Romans and establish Israel as the political heart of the world. They looked for a judge who would drive out sinners in Israel, purge Jerusalem from Gentile outsiders, and destroy wicked nations. They wanted an earthly king who would make them powerful.
But Jesus did not drive away sinners; he welcomed them. And his ministry anticipated a mission to include the Gentiles rather than destroying them.
Today we too need to think of Jesus correctly. He is not only the Son of David but also the Son of God. He is God in our flesh. Jesus is not just a wise teacher but our Savior from sin whose words offer eternal life. He is not just an earthly friend but also the awesome King of kings and Lord of lords.
How seriously do you take Jesus today? Have you allowed his life and words to shape your thoughts, values, and lifestyle?
Son of David, Son of God, may we see and acknowledge the eternal glory of your divinity. May we encounter the real Jesus today! Amen.
