新旧宝物的库房
耶稣问祂的门徒：“这一切的话，你们都明白了吗？”这句话也是对我们讲的。耶稣关于天国的话，我们都明白了吗？
门徒们回答说明白了，之后耶稣告诉他们，天国的门徒就像一个家主。
在一世纪的以色列，一个家主就是照顾整个家庭和族群，包括家中所有仆人的家长。这个家主负责提供整个家族繁荣昌盛所需要的一切。
如果我们把圣经看作库房，我们很快就会发现，它里面旧的宝物就是那些经久不衰的功课。但新的宝物是什么呢？在马太福音5:17中耶稣说，祂来不是要废掉，乃是要成全律法。在登山宝训中，祂又提高了对律法命令的期望。
耶稣启示了父神的心意，祂想要祂的孩子们活得安康昌盛。所以祂提醒我们，现在是我们使用库房里新旧宝物的时候了。
今天，你能以怎样的途径做到这一点呢？
耶稣，我们有责任与周围的世界分享你的新旧宝物，在这件事上，我们寻求你的智慧。请帮助我们使用那些宝物，使这个世界更加昌盛。阿们。
马太福音 13:51-52
51 耶稣说：“这一切的话你们都明白了吗？”他们说：“我们明白了。”
52 他说：“凡文士受教做天国的门徒，就像一个家主从他库里拿出新旧的东西来。”
A Storeroom Of Old And New Treasures
“A disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” — Matthew 13:52
“Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked his disciples. This question is meant for us too. Have we understood all that Jesus has spoken about the kingdom of heaven?
After the disciples say they have understood, Jesus tells them that a disciple in the kingdom of God is like the owner of a house.
In first-century Israel, the owner of a house was the patriarch who took care of his whole family and his entire household, including all the servants who lived under his roof. This owner was responsible for providing whatever was needed for his whole household to prosper and flourish.
If we think of the Scriptures as a storeroom, we can quickly see that its old treasures are time-tested lessons. But what are the new treasures? Well, in Matthew 5:17 Jesus states that he came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. And in his Sermon on the Mount he ramped up the expectations of the law’s commands.
Jesus reveals the heart of God the Father, who wants his children to live well and flourish. So he reminds us that it is our turn to use both the old and new treasures from his storeroom.
In what ways can you do that today?
Jesus, we seek your wisdom as we take on the responsibility of sharing your new and old treasures with the world around us. Help us to support the flourishing of the world with those treasures. Amen.
