为什么疑惑呢？
你做过的最疯狂的事情是什么？我可以提几件我年轻时做过的事，但还是留给大家去想像吧。
在你的信仰生活中呢？神曾要求你做的最疯狂的事情是什么？你是接受了挑战，还是在脑海中听到了一个借口，告诉自己你不可能去尝试？你有没有全身心投入，然后惊喜地发现，也许这并不是那么不可能？
当彼得说：“主，如果是你，请叫我从水面上走到你那里去”。我喜欢彼得即使在事情看起来不可能的时候，也准备好检验自己的信心。他走出船，看着耶稣。只要他定睛在耶稣身上，他的脚步就会朝着正确的方向前进。尽管信心不足，他还是有可能在水上行走。但当彼得环顾四周，看到狂风和深水时，他害怕了，就开始下沉。
当耶稣要我们信靠祂时，祂知道还存在一个更大的叙事。有些时候，环境会把水搅浑，信心也会变小。
也许今天是你重新聚焦的一天。你怎样才能定睛在耶稣身上呢？
主啊，请帮助我将生命托付给你。求你帮助我行走，且持续走向你。我需要你的帮助，愿我的目光专注于你，在看似不可能的情况下信靠你。阿们。
马太福音 14:22-33
22耶稣随即催门徒上船，先渡到那边去，等他叫众人散开。
23散了众人以后，他就独自上山去祷告。到了晚上，只有他一人在那里。
24那时船在海中，因风不顺，被浪摇撼。
25夜里四更天，耶稣在海面上走，往门徒那里去。
26门徒看见他在海面上走，就惊慌了，说：“是个鬼怪！”便害怕，喊叫起来。
27耶稣连忙对他们说：“你们放心！是我，不要怕！”
28彼得说：“主，如果是你，请叫我从水面上走到你那里去。”
29耶稣说：“你来吧！”彼得就从船上下去，在水面上走，要到耶稣那里去。
30只因见风甚大，就害怕，将要沉下去，便喊着说：“主啊，救我！”
31耶稣赶紧伸手拉住他，说：“你这小信的人哪，为什么疑惑呢？”
32他们上了船，风就住了。
33在船上的人都拜他，说：“你真是神的儿子了！”
Why Did You Doubt?
"Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. 'You of little faith,' he said, 'why did you doubt?'" - Matthew 14:31
What is the craziest thing you have ever done? I could mention a few things from my younger days, but let's leave that to the imagination.
How about in your life of faith? What is the craziest thing God has ever challenged you to do? Were you up for the challenge, or did you hear excuses in your head about why you couldn't possibly try? Did you jump in with both feet and find, to your surprise, that maybe it wasn't so impossible after all?
I wonder how big the smile was on Jesus' face when Peter said, "Lord, if it's you . . . tell me to come to you on the water." I love it that Peter was ready to test his faith even when things looked impossible. He stepped out of the boat looking at Jesus. And as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, his steps went in the right direction. Even with little faith, his walk on water was possible. But when Peter looked around him and saw the wind and deep water, he became afraid and started to sink.
When Jesus asks for our trust, he knows there is a bigger story to be written. There are days when circumstances muddy the waters and the trust factor diminishes.
Perhaps today is a day to refocus where you are looking. How can you keep your eyes on Jesus?
Lord, help me to trust you with my life. Will you help me to walk and keep walking toward you? I need your help to keep my eyes focused on you and to trust you in the midst of the impossible. Amen.
